Dr. M.P. Sahu, former Professor & Head, Department of Agriculture and Environmental Science, National Institute of Food Technology Entrepreneurship and Management, Kundli (Sonepat), India has earlier worked as Director of Research, Swami Keshwanand Rajasthan Agricultural University, Bikaner, India for over a decade (2001-2011), and subsequently as Dean (2011- 2013), Faculty of Agriculture of the University. With Ph.D degree in the discipline of Agronomy; Dr. Sahu has immensely worked on crop stress physiology. During his professional career, Dr. Sahu discovered the role of sulphydryl compounds in improving harvest index and grain yield of maize.

He is a Canadian citizen and visiting research professor at the School of Environmental Sciences, University of Guelph, Ontario, Canada.
